Direct Express Card misrepresentation to customers
I had a similar situation in which direct express did not allow me to do is for a $260 unauthorized charges that were made to my account to process instead the company took almost 6 months to decide they were denying my claim and refuse to give me any investigation reports that give me a summary of the reasoning for their final decision. They only claim that my charges were closely looked at by Nora Arpin herself and she states that she could not give me any reimbursement on any charges because it was an issue I needed to be taken up with my local police.
I in turn have not been able to pay my rent late fees and eventually got evicted. I am now homeless and have just gotten over phnemonia from sleeping in the outside freezing cold and lost almost all my personal lifelong belongings. This company refuses to take responsibility claiming it's different regulations and laws for the direct express card because it is a MasterCard however it's considered "prepaid" and those rules are entirely different on what is covered under the unauthorized charges and fraud section. That is why my claim was denied is the reasons she gave me.
I am devastated emotionally losing everything has taking a toll on me and I just got over my fight with phnemonia from sleeping outside. These people are heartless crooks who rob disabled people unable to get anyone's attention to see what they are LEGALLY doing to us that doesn't seem to be legal according to the Electronic Funds Transfer Act they are corrupt and not following proper procedure. It's a shame the government permits such a bank to oversee alot of disabled and retired individuals money that they depend on to survive yet there isn't anyone monitoring how they handle this money in the event of a fraudulent dispute or unauthorized transaction occurs.
People just get away with it and direct express just allows that to happen. Where are the people who understand there needs to be consequences for their neglectful and misuse of authority.
