Please have your grandmother change her method of benefit payments. US Direct Express is the worst company that you can get your benefits through. They can not be reached by phone and they allow people to steal, fraud and con their cardholders out of their benefits without any resolutions to the cardholders.

Direct Express - An employee used my information to change my address

Details
An employee used my information to change my address, cancel my card and send a new card to a different address 4 times. Then Directexpress charged me every time they sent out a new card totaling $62. I called, each time, to correct the problem and even I could not change my address because it has to be done through U.S. Social Security and yet it was changed by DirectExpress and never changed at Social Security. Clearly an inside job. Most of the first people to answer their phones cannot understand the problems or know anything about how to fix them.

I need a replacement card in the worsed Way and I keep getting hung up on when I call the number for direct Express. What type of Crap is that ? Is there any other Way to get a Replacement card. People have Bills to pay and no one seems to care.

Direct Express does not give a damn about its customers and Commercia bank, the actual bank, is being investigated for mishandling Government dispersals. Was on hold almost ten hours in two days before reaching a rep that FINALLY entered my dispute.

My card was hacked and drained. Their answer....up to 90 days to 'fix.' The Govt.; should fine this corrupt bank and yank their contract. Now in worse mess of my life.

Can not even get food or my maintenance meds. Maybe I'll die waiting and they can chalk me off from future "problems."
