Please put your complaints in writing and send to J.Simms jbsimms@erikpublishing.com. He is collecting stories of consumers who have been treated unjustly by Direct Express.

We are a group of disgruntled people who are tired of being robbed. Make sure you contact your police department, identity theft.gov and FDIC.

Call the DE number and immediately press the number 3. Don't enter your information wait until you get a live person.

For those who follow the prompt they are disconnected in a matter of seconds.

Can I give you massive advice? Know that ALL cards can be used with out a pin number.

Direct Express, PNC, Comerica...literally any card. Credit purchases DO NOT need pin numbers, meaning someone simply needs to get your card information, not your card, literally just your card number and maybe your CV2 code on the back. If this is your only card and your entire life rides on it, don't give out the information to anyone: I'm talking family member, sisters, step brothers, uncles, friends...no one. Chances are that when someone uses your card to purchase something, it's not your fault, however, somehow you put your card information out in public somehow.

Whether that was entering it in a sketchy website, swiping your card while someone was intently watching for your pin, or willing gave your card to a friend one time and now 1 year later your funds are missing. This is not a Direct Express issue, pending transactions occur ONLY with credit purchases (I.E. no pin used). Stop calling your "bank" to stop a transaction and call the merchant right away.

How would you feel if you owned a business, someone bought $3000 dollars worth of merchandise with a card, and when you went to go claim on that $3000 (which is rightfully yours because you sold those items), that the bank just says "Ummm, sorry the card holder told us to not give you your money because they didn't purchase it." Yes, it sucks that your funds were stolen, but there is a process in place to PROVE that you did not do it. And as long as you fill out the paperwork and work with the bank successfully, 9/10 if you in fact did NOT make the purchase, you'll see your funds back on your card.

Same thing happened to me on 2/3/16. It appears someone in Miami, FL has access to our personal information and I feel the only way to get that is within Direct Express.

They stole $851.00 from me. I've lived in Georgia all my life.
